State vs. anti-vaxxers: Analysis of Covid-19 echo chambers in Serbia

Abstract Times of uncertainty and fear were brought on by Covid-19. The ongoing pandemic is a fruitful ground for fake news, as citizens try to find explanations that fit into their worldviews. This process polarizes society creates echo chambers amplified recommender systems. Our main goal detect anti-vaxxer in Serbia analyzing online reactions the recent detention prominent Dr. Jovana Stojkovic. A content analysis comments deployed anti-regime left-leaning, right-leaning, pro-government media explore attitudes towards vaccination conspiracy theory, police action anti-vaxxers, government crisis response team. We clearly identify anti-vaccine chamber among commentators right-leaning (YouTube podcasts). Additionally, we describe expressed around issues related vaccination. Limitations implications future research are discussed.
